From ‘Worst Student’ to Building a School for Founders: The Unconventional Journey of Guhan N

New Delhi [India], November 6: Guhan N, popularly known as badass_teacherr, has built his professional journey around an idea that challenges the way people traditionally think about education, entrepreneurship and success: not everyone who struggles within a system lacks potential. Sometimes, the system simply does not know how to recognise or develop the kind of potential a person possesses.

Today, Guhan is the Founder of Unknown School, a Founder Accelerator and Community focused on founder conditioning and execution. His journey, however, did not begin with a conventional academic record, a predictable career path or a carefully planned entrepreneurial roadmap. It moved through art, teaching, experimentation, entrepreneurship and failure before eventually leading to the creation of a platform designed to prepare founders for the realities of building businesses.

Guhan describes himself as someone who was once considered a “worst student” and a notorious teenager. His early relationship with conventional education was difficult, and personal adversity shaped the way he looked at authority, learning and identity. Instead of allowing that experience to become the definition of his life, he gradually began exploring different ways of understanding people and learning.

Art became an unexpected turning point.

What initially appeared to be a different professional direction eventually became a medium through which Guhan began experimenting with education and human development. He started exploring how creativity, performance, storytelling and unconventional experiences could engage people who did not naturally respond to traditional classroom methods.

That experimentation eventually developed into an educational methodology combining Art, Economics, Philosophy, Ecology and Technology.

Guhan went on to work with schools and colleges as a teacher and guest faculty member. His approach often challenged conventional institutional methods while creating strong engagement among students. Over the years, he addressed more than 10,000 students, mentored more than 200 teenagers, and worked with more than 2,200 entrepreneurs. His work has also included more than 50 corporate workshops and over 150 stage performances.

His work eventually moved beyond education.

Entrepreneurship became another form of learning—one without a fixed syllabus. Building businesses exposed Guhan to the realities of partnerships, finance, customers, investors, growth, business foundations and execution. These experiences gave him a perspective that was different from learning entrepreneurship only through books, classrooms or motivational content.

It also led him to a fundamental question: If entrepreneurship is unpredictable and demanding in the real world, why are founders often prepared primarily through information and theory?

That question became the foundation for Unknown School.

Rather than positioning entrepreneurship education purely around knowledge acquisition, Guhan’s philosophy focuses on preparing founders for situations where knowledge alone may not be enough. His approach can be summarised in three words: Experience → Confront → Execute.

The philosophy reflects his belief that founders need more than strategies and frameworks. They need to develop the ability to think, respond, decide and execute when circumstances become uncertain or difficult.

As the Founder Conditioning & Execution Strategist behind Unknown School, Guhan works across areas including entrepreneurship, founder development, experiential education, business strategy, sales, business development, creative learning, content and storytelling, as well as AI, technology and business applications. His work brings together experiences from education and entrepreneurship rather than treating the two as separate worlds.

One of the distinctive aspects of his methodology is the use of theatre, performance, music, storytelling, behavioural exercises and unconventional experiences to create learning environments. His objective is not simply to transfer information, but to create situations in which participants are encouraged to confront assumptions and move toward action.

Among the methodologies developed by Guhan is Pirates of Salesmanship, an unconventional approach to sales learning that also attracted the attention of filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj during the development of the lead character for MASTER. His work has therefore extended across education, entrepreneurship, performance and popular culture.

Guhan has also contributed to the entrepreneurship ecosystem as a mentor in Sales, Management & Leadership at the Entrepreneurship Development Institute, Government of Tamil Nadu.

Today, Unknown School represents the next stage of that journey. The platform is being developed as a Founder Accelerator, Community and Founder Conditioning Platform for people navigating the practical challenges of entrepreneurship.

Its upcoming flagship experience, Founders Warfare, is a three-day Founder Conditioning Experience covering areas such as strategy and execution, founder psychology and conditioning, pressure and decision-making, sales and business development, AI and technology, financial management, business growth, founder blind spots and real-world execution.

For Guhan, the larger story is not simply about moving from being a difficult student to becoming an entrepreneur and educator. It is about questioning systems that may reward conformity while overlooking unconventional potential.

His journey—from “Worst Student” to Notorious Teen, Accidental Artist, Unconventional Teacher, Entrepreneur and Founder Accelerator—has shaped the philosophy behind his work.

The central question now is not how to make founders fit a predetermined system.

It is how to prepare them for a world where there is no predetermined system.

And that is the space Guhan N is attempting to build through Unknown School: a place where founders are not simply taught what to know, but challenged to experience, confront and execute.
